Each unit culminates in a project that invites students to formulate algebraic expressions with reference to specific Bible passage.

The accompanying workbook serves as a supplement to the His Vessel Algebra 1 course and is most effective when used in conjunction with the textbook. It contains the exact same problems and projects found there but allows students the ability to complete the assignments without having to copy the problems from the book onto another sheet of paper, eliminating common errors that occur during transposition. In addition to this benefit, all their work stays in one place. The workbook is lighter and more portable, offering the student freedom to do their work without having to transport the textbook back and forth, which also prolongs the life of the textbook itself. The workbook does not contain the answer key or additional resources found in the textbook.
